After consulting with city prosecutors, the Dallas Police Department has decided that it will issue a disorderly conduct citation to Erykah Badu for getting naked in Dealey Plaza last month.
Deputy Chief Mike Genovesi, who oversees the special investigations division, said he expects that the citation will be issued next week. “The statements from the witness would rise to the level of disorderly conduct,” he said. “The issuance of a citation is pretty routine for that charge.”
Genovesi said police had one witness who told the authorities that she was with her two small children when she “observed Ms. Badu remove her clothing on the public street. The witness had two small children with her and was offended.”
Disorderly conduct is a Class C misdemeanor, punishable by a fine, and akin to a traffic ticket.
City officials also are considering whether city law should be strengthened to prevent similar incidents, Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway said Thursday. - The Dallas Morning News
I can’t say that I’m surprised at this turn of events. I also won’t be surprised if this just galvanizes support amongst Erykah’s fans because of her perceived “inner strength” and “courage” and victimization by group-think (all the while having brought this on herself with her questionable and impractical actions). She’s already gearing up for her savior/martyr/truth-smearing role on Twitter:
No one has pressd charges . All propaganda . Dont believe everything u hear . Fall back soldiers . EveryTING fine . about 19 hours ago

I mentioned this update to a Gemini friend who is ambivalent about Erykah.
Me: Blacks are characterized by the sign of Pisces. We love us a good persecution story (see Jesus). Have you noticed that blacks easily, and oftentimes inexplicably, defend people who we perceive to be victims (see child molester/musical genius/self-nicknamed “Pied Piper of R&B”/blasphemous yet conveniently religious when he needs public sympathy R.Kelly, who has Venus in Pisces)? Some of the same people who love Pisces Erykah Badu harshly criticize Virgos Beyonce and Tyler Perry (and President Obama with his Mars in Virgo). Virgo is perfect while Pisces is imperfect.
Friend: Blacks compete with each other. Beyonce and Tyler are unattainable, while Erykah is more “real”. They can have her body without getting off of the couch. They can now have her career just by getting naked and finding a camera. To have a Beyonce video, you need hours of hair, makeup, working out, digital retouching. To have Tyler Perry’s career, you need to actually WORK HARD.
Me: Hmm! *grabbing laptop*
Virgo and Pisces are opposite signs. Virgo represents purification, discernment, striving for perfection, judgment, logical analysis, technical skill, practical and applicable knowledge, hands-in-the-sand work, healing through body work (diet, hygiene, refraining from toxins), knowledge through trial and error fact-finding and experimentation, reality, objective truth. Pisces represents divination, blurred boundaries, lack of judgment/discrimination, impractical, transcendence, knowledge through feeling one’s way through experiments, spirituality, intoxication, healing through metaphysical arts, fantasy, subjective truth.
How many times have you heard people decry someone else’s “perfection”? We’ve seen countless quotes about people not trusting those without vices or preferring their politicians/public figures/fictional characters with flaws. So who are these people who get discouraged, inflamed and bothered by Virgo’s seeming perfection? Who are these people who reject Virgo on a pedestal while at the same time raising Pisces to god and goddess status?
I have long suspected that black people who (overly) identify with the “beautiful struggle” that is being black are strongly Piscean (or have a strong Neptune) or are quite watery, while people who have the other mutable signs - Gemini, Virgo (although an unevolved or blocked Virgo can resemble its opposite sign, Pisces) and Sagittarius - strongly represented in their charts are less likely to buy into the “woe is us” (or “I hate perfection”) meme within some pockets of the African-American community.
The people who complain about there not being enough opportunities for blacks, for example, while doing next to zero practical planning/implementation in pursuit of their goals = Piscean/Neptunian.
The people who are inspired by Gemini multitasking, Virgoan hard work and Sagittarian optimism to go after what they want in life rather than substitute complaining for action = NOT Piscean/Neptunian.
A too-closely-guarded concept in astrology is that each sign has a bit of its opposite. Virgo strives for perfection because it’s all too aware of its own imperfections. Pisces is lackadaisical about striving for perfection because it believes that perfection already exists.
My Mid-Heaven (or MC) and Saturn is in Virgo, meaning that my highest aspirations are to refine, purify, serve practically, perfect, improve. I am inspired by the results of Virgo’s work ethic. I am inspired by Beyonce overcoming her childhood shyness to perfectly execute showy stage shows as an adult. I am inspired by Tyler Perry going from being homeless and not being able to get his plays in any black venues to selling out theater venues and movie theaters across the country. I am inspired by Barack Obama’s humble beginnings and rising to a position of power to effect massive change by applying himself mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually to achieving his goals - one step at a time. Their every success proves to me that with some focus and discipline, I can achieve the same success in my life. Maybe not to the same degrees as them, but in a way that satisfies my personal goals.
I’m also inspired by Virgo Tavis Smiley, an annoyingly persistent critic of President Obama and other black leaders. He has been maligned by many over his contradictory, hyperbolic and sometimes factually incorrect criticisms that seem to originate in feelings of jealousy, envy and righteous indignation. Although I strongly dislike Tavis, he does inspire me to continue to speak my own personal truths, regardless of how unpopular they may be to others. If I see something wrong, then I have the right to point it out. There’s nothing more Virgoan than that! But he also shows me where to draw the line between valid and invalid criticism.
When I see people glorifying (or, rather, wallowing in negative) Piscean traits, it just feels…wrong. Really, really wrong. Along with my Saturn, MC and North Node in Virgo, I also have Neptune in the 1st house of self and identity, IC in the sign of Pisces and planets in the 12th house of the subconscious, intuition, self-undoing, dreams, literal and figurative prisons (associated with Pisces). Piscean traits are what I’m striving to get away from and rebel against exhibiting (perhaps they didn’t serve me well in my past life?). The irony of me feeling this way about Pisces v. Virgo is that…it’s almost completely based in my intuitive knowledge of all things universal - which is under the Pisces umbrella.
Check out Virgo Beyonce’s “Flaws and All” (or live), where she lays out her “host of imperfections”, a glamour queen without makeup & costumes, vulnerable and emotionally naked without being literally naked - a TRULY courageous act for a Virgo who would like to be seen as perfect at all times.
